Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Shri Amit Shah said the Sulphuric Acid Plant inaugurated today at IFFCO Paradip will play a key role in making India self-reliant in sulphuric acid. Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi added that the new plant will accelerate industrial development in the state.
In his welcome address, IFFCO Chairman Shri Dileep Sanghani said today marks a moment of great pride for IFFCO Paradip. He noted that the unit already houses the world’s largest single-reactor phosphoric acid plant—a symbol of the organization’s technical capability and excellent management.
In 2022, IFFCO Paradip established Odisha’s first riverine jetty, enabling direct transport of goods from the plant to the port for greater efficiency.
It is also a historic achievement that a cooperative institution acquired a private plant for the first time and developed it into one of India’s best. This exemplifies the power of cooperation and IFFCO’s visionary approach.
This marks the first visit by a Union Minister to IFFCO Paradip, which has inspired everyone and motivated the team to perform even better.
IFFCO remains committed to farmers’ prosperity, agricultural development, and national progress.
The event was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Minister of State for Industries, Skill Development, and Technical Education Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Member of Parliament from Jagatsinghpur Shri Bibhu Prasad Tarai, IFFCO Vice Chairman Shri Balveer Singh, members of the IFFCO Board of Directors, IFFCO Managing Director Shri K. J. Patel, IFFCO Unit Head Paradip Shri P. K. Mahapatra, and other distinguished dignitaries.
