AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 11th AUGUST 2026 | Raj Upadhyay and Jaypalsinh Sarvaiya, founders of Gujarat-based used car marketplace Carzbazzar, were honoured with the Gujarat Vikas Asmita Award at the Gujarat Vikas Asmita Awards 2026 for their dedication, determination and contribution to the field of entrepreneurship. The awards were presented by the Knowledge Plus Foundation (KPF) at the Ahmedabad Management Association on Monday.
The recognition comes in the wake of Carzbazzar’s rapid growth in the organised used car market. The startup has reached a valuation of Rs. 100 crore within six months of operations and has sold more than 1,000 cars.
Raj Upadhyay oversees business operations, the company’s dealer network and expansion strategy, while Jaypalsinh Sarvaiya leads technology, digital products and branding. Together, they have built Carzbazzar around a model that seeks to bring greater transparency and convenience to the pre-owned vehicle market.
A key element of the platform is the use of technology in the vehicle buying and selling process. Carzbazzar focuses on online car valuation, data-driven pricing and customer experience to make transactions more informed and accessible for both buyers and sellers.
The company has also developed a network of more than 1,500 automobile dealers, giving it access to a wider range of vehicles and helping connect customers with a broader choice of options. Its operations are supported by a team of more than 100 professionals.
The founders’ vision is to build a trusted car bazaar in every city and create a more organised ecosystem for the pre-owned vehicle market. Their longer-term goal is to expand beyond Gujarat into Delhi-NCR and other parts of India.
The Gujarat Vikas Asmita Awards 2026 recognition marks another milestone in the journey of the two founders as they seek to take Carzbazzar from its Gujarat base to a national market and build one of India’s leading used car platforms.
