Morari Bapu Emphasises Preservation of Sanatan Dharma and Temple Culture

GOPNATH | 11th OCTOBER 2025: Renowned spiritual leader and Ram Katha preacher MorariBapu said today that Sanatan Dharma is not just a faith, but our heritage and identity, and it is our responsibility to preserve it. During his ongoing Ramkatha in Gopnath, he urged devotees to actively engage in safeguarding temples and traditions.

MorariBapu described Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, MaaBhavani, Hanuman, and Lord Ganesha as the ultimate manifestations of divinity, emphasising that followers of Sanatan Dharma should never forget their sacred heritage. Addressing misconceptions, he noted that while some views from other faiths may misinterpret the roles of Hindu deities, the essence of devotion lies in understanding spiritual principles.

Referring to the writings of Chanakya, he observed that the signs of those aligned with heaven and hell are visible in society today. He called upon devotees to maintain and build temples dedicated to Ram, Krishna, Shiva, Bhavani, and other deities in their villages. He stressed the importance of preserving temples in every village and encouraged their restoration and renovation. He said Shri ChitrakutdhamTalgajarda had already announced assistance of Rs. 1.25 lakh to support such initiatives.

Elaborating on the spiritual significance of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, Bapu said, “Ram is the embodiment of Brahm, and Krishna represents the divine principle that guides us towards righteousness.”

Reflecting the historic occasion of the installation of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya after 500 years, Bapu noted that many of the distinguished guests did not visit the temple for darshan, citing other commitments. He highlighted this as a reminder of the need for active engagement in preserving sacred traditions.

Bapu said it was the responsibility of every devotee to uphold Sanatan Dharma, saying, “We have grown strong and rooted in our culture by imbibing its teachings. While we must not harm anyone, safeguarding Sanatan Dharma is our duty. In today’s times, it is vital that we respect and collectively protect our spiritual heritage.”

The Ramkatha at Gopnath is drawing thousands of devotees from all over the state and country. It is the 965th katha in MorariBapu’s six decades long spiritual journey dedicated to spreading the teachings of Lord Ram and Ramcharitmanas.
