MUMBAI | 26th SEPTEMBER 2026 | Renowned spiritual leader and Ramkatha narrator Morari Bapu attended the grand Aho Gurudev celebration organised by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, marking the 60th birth anniversary of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji.
The two-day celebration on September 25 and 26, themed ‘60 Years of an Enlightened Existence’, brought together spiritual leaders, dignitaries and thousands of devotees to honour Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji’s life, teachings and service. The celebration is part of a year-long observance of his 60th year, with spiritual, cultural and seva initiatives being held across the world.
The programme also featured the release of a visual biography on Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji’s life and works, along with a discourse by him on ‘Serving Compassionately’.
Offering his greetings to Pujya Gurudevshri and his parents, Morari Bapu said, “My greetings to the parents who gave birth to such an enlightened soul. My greetings to Pujya Gurudevshri as well, who is among us in body, yet transcends the ordinary in spirit.”
Reflecting on his bond with Pujya Gurudevshri, Morari Bapu said, “I am thinking what to say. There are many words, but I am in a dilemma about the words I should use on this occasion. My words are not meant to praise him. My relationship with Gurudevshri is not an ordinary relationship. It is a relationship of the soul. Because of the soul, he blesses me, and I dedicate my devotion to him. I have come here only because of this spiritual relationship.”
Speaking about Gurudevshri’s life, he said, “There are five yagyas in his life. Among these is Dravya yagya. It should not be understood merely in terms of wealth or material offerings. In today’s context, I see it through sadhana and seva. I have witnessed his continuous sadhana, and through his presence and grace, such great seva is taking place. This too is Dravyayagya.”
Anandmurti Gurumaa, Spiritual Head and Founder of Rishi Chaitanya Ashram, also addressed the gathering.
Aho Gurudev marks the auspicious milestone of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji’s 60th year and will continue through a year-long series of celebrations including spiritual festivals, seva offerings and cultural dedications across India and overseas.
