AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 18th AUGUST 2026 | Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those who recently lost their lives in a series of tragic incidents in Gujarat, Bihar and West Bengal, and has announced financial assistance to the bereaved families.
In Gujarat, 10 people lost their lives in recent accidents and drowning incidents. Four members of a family drowned in a lake at Bedi village near Rajkot, while six youths lost their lives in an incident in Vadodara. Morari Bapu has announced financial assistance of Rs. 1,50,000 for the victims’ families.
In Bihar, nine persons were killed in lightning strikes last week. Morari Bapu has announced assistance of Rs. 1,35,000 for the bereaved families.
In another tragic incident in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district, seven devotees were killed in a stampede at Ashok Dham temple following rumours that a live electric wire had fallen into the crowd after an electric pole collapsed. Morari Bapu has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and announced financial assistance of Rs. 1,05,000.
In West Bengal, seven people lost their lives in a tragic hotel fire. Morari Bapu has conveyed his condolences and announced financial assistance of Rs. 1,05,000 for families of the victims.
The financial assistance in all of these cases has been delivered through Ram Katha listeners in Mumbai.
Morari Bapu, who is conducting a Ram Katha at Harvard University, has prayed at the feet of Lord Hanuman for the eternal peace of all those who have passed away, and for strength for their families.
