Ahmedabad, 19th August 2026 : ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple, Bhadaj organizes the grand Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav, every year which is attended by numerous devotees. This year, ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple, Bhadaj has started a new initiative of “Swagatam Krishna 2026” to celebrate Janmashtami and spread its spiritual message to various sections of the society. Through this initiative, the message of Shri Krishna’s Janmashtami “Swagatam Krishna 2026” will be celebrated through spiritual-cultural programs in various cities across Gujarat such as Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Sanand, Viramgam, Kadi, Kalol from 22 August to 13 September. Along with this, Jhulan Mahotsav has been organized at Hare Krishna Temple from 23 to 28 August.
ISKCON Hare Krishna Movement President Jaganmohan Krishna Dasji, while outlining the “Swagatham Krishna 2026” program organized across Gujarat, said that on August 22 at 6 pm Chandkheda – Shri Sadaram Bapa Community Hall, Umiya Party Plot – Gota, Balaji OasisLawnPalaj – Gandhinagar, on August 23 at 6:00 pm at Hare Krishna Movement, Rajkot – Seasons Hotel, on August 29 at 6:00 pm Chandlodia Community Center, Mangal pandey Hall -Nikol, Meadows – Adani Shantigram, on August 30 at 6:00 pm Sanand, Kalol Town Hall, Vedmandir-Maninagar, as well as on Janmashtami on September 4 at 6:00 pm, at Hare Krishna Movement, Surat –Maheshwari Bhavan, Hare Krishna Movement, Vadodara – Evamol, The message of Lord Krishna’s Janmashtami festival will be conveyed to the devotees through spiritual-cultural programs. Along with this, on September 4, Janmashtami will be celebrated through cultural programs with various messages of the glory of Lord Krishna at ISKCON Hare Krishna Main Temple at Bhadaj from 8 am to 12:30 am and at Sector-1 Gandhinagar from 8 am to 12:30 am. Finally, “Swagatam Krishna 2026” has been organized at Kadi Town Hall on September 13. Apart from this, various programs have been organized in about 10 villages of Viramgam taluka during the entire Shravan month.
Jaganmohan Krishna Dasji, President of ISKCON Hare Krishna Movement, further said that the aim of “Swagatam Krishna 2026” is to take the message and spirit of Sri Krishna Janmashtami outside the temple to various sections of society such as the elderly men and women as well as the promising future of India, the youth. Spiritual and cultural programs have been organized in various cities, towns and villages during the month of Shravan. The inspiration for this initiative has come from Krishna His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada dedicated his entire life to taking the message of Lord Shri Krishna, the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Hare Krishna Mahamantra to the entire world, which is the main part of the message of “Swagatam Krishna 2026”.
