NAGOYA, JAPAN | 15th SEPTEMBER 2026 | Inspired by the recent visit and industry engagements of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, a private delegation of Indian foundry and casting industry representatives visited Nagoya, Japan, to explore advanced manufacturing technologies, production practices, and opportunities for strengthening India’s foundry sector.
The delegation included representatives from Auqasub, Inox Casting and Bakgiyam Engineering from South India, along with Subhlabh Casting from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The delegation was led and coordinated by Mr. Sunil Sharma, Mr. Amit Singh and Ms. Pragya Paramita Nag. Mr. Sharma, who has been based in Nagoya for the past 28 years, facilitated the delegation’s engagement with Japan’s industrial ecosystem.
During the visit, the delegation toured leading Japanese companies, including Kimura Chuzo, Hisagoya and Sakabe Industry, gaining valuable insights into Japan’s advanced foundry, casting, and manufacturing practices.
The visit marks another step towards strengthening India–Japan industrial cooperation, encouraging technology exchange and supporting the modernization and global competitiveness of India’s foundry and casting industry.
