- A ‘2-Minute Jump’ awareness drive blending fun and fitness, highlighting how small steps can make a big impact on heart health
GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 30th SEPTEMBER 2025: On the occasion of World Heart Day 2025, HCG Hospitals, Ahmedabad, organized a unique community outreach program titled the ‘Joy of Jumping’ campaign. The initiative aimed to encourage citizens to adopt simple, joyful movements for better heart health, making fitness fun and easy to incorporate into daily life.
The activity was held across community gardens and public spaces, drawing enthusiastic participation from more than 200 residents of all age groups. Participants joined group jumping sessions and availed of free health screenings, including blood pressure and BMI checks. They also received educational resources on preventive heart care, while interactive activities highlighted how small bursts of physical activity can improve blood circulation and overall cardiac health.
Sharing his thoughts, Dr. Jay Shah, Senior Cardiologist, HCG Hospitals, Ahmedabad, said: “Just two minutes of jumping can significantly boost blood flow and activate multiple muscle groups. It’s a fun and accessible way to remind people that heart health is about consistency, not complexity. You don’t always need a gym or strenuous workouts—simple, joyful movements can keep your heart healthy.”
Dr. Brajmohan Singh, Sr. Consultant – Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, HCG Hospitals, Ahmedabad, added: “Heart disease continues to be one of India’s leading health concerns, but prevention begins with awareness. Through initiatives like ‘Joy of Jumping,’ we aim to connect with the community beyond hospital walls and encourage people to embrace fitness as a joyful habit.”
With this campaign, HCG Hospitals reaffirmed its commitment to community wellness by blending medical expertise with creative, awareness-driven programs that inspire sustainable, heart-friendly lifestyles.
“Don’t neglect your heart—it’s the engine that powers your life. Just a few minutes of joyful movement every day can go a long way in ensuring a healthier tomorrow.”
