GSFC University Observes National Fire Week as part of Awareness Program, Tributes to the Fire Fighters, and by Conducting Safety Drills

Vadodara, April 15, 2026: To mark the National Fire Week GSFC University observed it with a series of engaging and meaningful activities aimed at spreading awareness about fire safety, prevention, and emergency preparedness.

The activities were led by the students of the B.Tech Fire & Environment, Health, Safety (B.Tech Fire & EHS) program, who conducted various initiatives aimed at educating and sensitizing the university community. One of the key highlights of the day was an informational skit, focusing on practical ways to prevent fire hazards in household kitchens, one of the most common sites of accidental fires.

In a heartfelt tribute, students also presented an ode to firefighters who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. The observance further included a live fire drill conducted at the Centre of Excellence in F&EHS, “FirePlex / Agni Sankul,”  followed by a relay competition, symbolizing teamwork and coordinated response during fire emergencies.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Amit Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy CFO, VMC; Mr. Vishnu Mishra, Vice President, GSFC; Mr. Vishnu Patel, Complex Head, GACL; Dr. Madhur Saxena, General Manager, Mr. Deepak Nitrite; and Mr. Kalpesh Makwana, Joint Secretary, FSAI (Vadodara Chapter), whose esteemed presence added great significance to the occasion.

 

With its continued focus on safety education and real-world preparedness, GSFC University remains committed to nurturing responsible citizens who are not only academically proficient but also socially aware and equipped to handle emergencies.
