MUMBAI, INDIA | 26th OCTOBER 2026 | As temperatures begin to ease, Dubai’s beaches, parks, trails and open-air venues are bringing a different energy to the city. From early-morning runs along the coast and fitness sessions by the beach to weekend markets, mountain adventures and dinners under the open sky, the cooler months offer visitors more ways to experience Dubai outdoors. Whether it’s an active day out with family or a spontaneous evening by the water, the city’s outdoor calendar has plenty to explore.
1.Spend the day at Kite Beach: With its running tracks, water sports, beach volleyball courts and casual dining spots, Kite Beach brings together several of Dubai’s favourite outdoor pursuits along the Jumeirah coastline. Visitors can start the day with a run by the sea, try kitesurfing or paddleboarding, or settle in for a relaxed afternoon at one of the beachfront cafés. The return of Kite Beach Market for its 22nd season adds to the experience, with 15 kiosks featuring beachwear, accessories and gifting options. With views of the Burj Al Arab and plenty to do beyond the shoreline, Kite Beach is a destination in its own.
- Get moving with Dubai Fitness Challenge: Returning from 31 October to 29 November 2026, Dubai Fitness Challenge marks its tenth edition with a citywide invitation to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days. The programme brings fitness into public spaces through community hubs, classes and sporting events. At Kite Beach, the DP World 30×30 Fitness Village will offer activities spanning yoga, Pilates, spinning, padel and team sports. Flagship events including Dubai Ride on 1 November, Dubai Stand Up Paddle at Hatta Dam on 7–8 November, Dubai Run on 22 November and Dubai Yoga on 29 November will give residents and visitors opportunities to take part in the city’s active season.
- Trade the cityscape for mountain trails: For an outdoor escape beyond the city, Hatta offers a change of scenery amid the Hajar Mountains. Visitors can kayak on Hatta Dam, explore hiking trails or try mountain biking and adventure activities at Hatta Wadi Hub. Those looking for a longer break can also consider the destination’s camping and glamping options. Closer to Dubai, Al Qudra Cycle Track offers a route through the desert landscape, while Al Qudra Lakes provides opportunities for birdwatching and time outdoors.
- Make weekends about outdoor markets: Dubai’s seasonal markets offer a mix of food, shopping, independent businesses and family activities. The Ripe Market at Academy Park brings together fresh produce, artisanal goods, fashion, jewellery and food stalls, alongside activities for children. At Kite Beach, the seasonal market offers another setting to browse local finds by the sea. These markets provide an easy way to spend a few hours outdoors, whether stopping by for a morning coffee, discovering independent brands or making a weekend outing of it.
- Find a new favourite running route: For visitors who prefer exploring on foot, Dubai offers routes that combine outdoor exercise with views of the coastline and desert. The running track at Kite Beach is suited to an early-morning jog or an evening walk by the water, while the wider Jumeirah coastline offers stretches for leisurely strolls. Cyclists can head to Al Qudra Cycle Track for longer rides through the desert, with routes suited to different distances and fitness levels.
- Take dining outdoors: As the season becomes more conducive to spending time outside, Dubai’s beachfront cafés, garden terraces and waterfront restaurants offer settings for everything from a post-workout breakfast to dinner by the sea. At Kite Beach, visitors can pair a walk along the shore with casual bites, while the city’s wider dining scene offers open-air settings overlooking the waterfront and skyline. For a more activity-filled evening, Global Village brings together open-air shopping, international cuisines, cultural pavilions and live entertainment, with its 31st season running from October 2026 to May 2027.
From an active morning by the sea to a mountain escape, a weekend market or dinner under the stars, Dubai offers visitors different ways to make the most of the outdoors. With seasonal activities and experiences spanning fitness, nature, food and leisure, the city invites visitors to step outside and discover another side of Dubai this season.
