Nakul Sharedalal Featured in ALB India Top IP Lawyers 2026

AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 05th MARCH 2026 — Renowned Ahmedabad-based intellectual property lawyer Nakul Sharedalal has been featured in the ALB India Top IP Lawyers 2026 list by Asian Legal Business (ALB), marking his sixth appearance in the prestigious ranking. He is the only lawyer from Gujarat to have achieved this distinction.

The ALB India Top IP Lawyers list recognises advocates driving the country’s innovation economy. Selected on the basis of courtroom successes, deal outcomes and industry expertise, those featured combine legal strategy with technical acumen to protect ideas, maximise licensing opportunities and resolve significant disputes across India and internationally.

Mr. Sharedalal, Founder of NS Legal, has built a strong reputation for advising clients across sectors including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and technology-driven industries. His inclusion in the 2026 list reflects sustained impact across both contentious and advisory IP matters.

Commenting on the recognition, Mr. Sharedalal said, “This recognition is deeply humbling and carries immense responsibility. Being acknowledged among India’s leading IP practitioners strengthens our resolve to deliver strategic, commercially focused and technically sound advice. As India advances as a global innovation hub, the role of IP advisers extends beyond protection of rights to enabling growth, supporting research and promoting sustainable innovation.”

Speaking about developments in India’s IP landscape, Mr. Sharedalal noted a clear shift towards faster prosecution, an increase in pre-grant and post-grant oppositions, and more technically informed adjudication. He also said that India has witnessed meaningful improvements through specialised IP benches, proactive customs enforcement and a greater judicial willingness to grant dynamic injunctions in appropriate cases.

Mr. Sharedalal holds a Master of Laws from Queen Mary University of London and has been practising IP law for over 16 years. He has previously served as Chairman of ASSOCHAM Gujarat’s IPR Council and continues to contribute to national and international industry forums as a mentor and adviser.
