Ride to Rise: HCG Hospitals, Rajkot Drives Community Cancer Awareness Through Breakfast Bike Rally

RAJKOT | 08th FEBRUARY 2026 With a steadfast vision of building a Cancer-Free India and a Cancer-Free Rajkot, HCG Hospitals, Rajkot launched a powerful community outreach initiative titled “Ride to Rise: Fighting Cancer Together”– a breakfast bike rally designed to promote cancer awareness, early detection, preventive healthcare, and timely medical intervention.

The rally was flagged off at 7:00 AM from HCG Hospitals, Rajkot by senior cancer specialists Dr. Monil Parsana, Dr. Mitesh Khunt, Dr. Sarthak Mohanty, and Dr. Shweta Tilara, underscoring the medical fraternity’s commitment to taking the message of cancer awareness beyond hospital walls and directly into the community. The ride culminated at Cha Vala – The Drive In Café, where participants gathered for a breakfast interaction.

Commenting on the imitative Dr. Suraj Nath, COO, HCG Hospitals, Rajkot said “At HCG Hospitals, Rajkot, our commitment to fighting cancer goes far beyond treatment. Through initiatives like ‘Ride to Rise’, we are continuously creating platforms to take awareness into the community—because early detection, timely action, and informed choices can truly save lives. Building a cancer-aware society is a responsibility we embrace every day.”

The initiative aimed to spark meaningful public dialogue around the importance of early cancer detection, prevention, and prompt treatment, reinforcing the fact that cancer, when identified early, is often treatable and curable. By uniting healthcare professionals, biking enthusiasts, and citizens, the rally delivered a strong message: the fight against cancer is a shared societal responsibility, not confined to clinics and hospitals alone.

Addressing participants, the doctors highlighted that fear, myths, and delayed medical consultation remain significant challenges in India’s battle against cancer. They encouraged citizens to remain vigilant about early warning signs, undergo regular screenings, adopt healthier lifestyles, and seek medical advice without hesitation. The specialists reiterated that awareness and timely action can save lives.

Adding vibrancy and wider community connect to the event, popular radio hosts RJ Ishita and RJ Jay engaged with participants, helping amplify the awareness message, particularly among the youth.

The event concluded with an informal breakfast interaction, fostering conversations around prevention, hope, survivorship, and the collective aspiration of a Cancer-Free Rajkot.

Through initiatives like Ride to Rise, HCG Hospitals, Rajkot continues to go beyond treatment, actively engaging with communities to spread awareness, break stigma, and advance the mission of a Cancer-Free India through knowledge, early action, and compassionate care.
