FERTIVISION 2024 marks a milestone in redefining fertility care

Ahmedabad 13 December 2024: The 20th Annual Conference of the Indian Fertility Society (IFS), FERTIVISION 2024, which brought together more than 2,000 delegates, including 650 national and 36 international stalwarts, concluded in Gandhinagar recently.

Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, who inaugurated the conference, emphasised the state government’s commitment to enabling world-class healthcare to people.

The conference, organised under the leadership of IFS President Dr. Pankaj Talwar and IFS National Advisor Dr. Jayesh Amin, served as a platform to discuss personalised fertility treatments, cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, and fertility preservation techniques, especially crucial for patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The conference was all the more crucial in the wake of the consistent decline in fertility rates over the years.

Dr. Jayesh Amin, Organising Chairman and National Advisor of Indian Fertility Society, said, “FERTIVISION 2024 marks a milestone in redefining infertility care. The conference facilitated the exchange of ideas and insights by leading experts and researchers, opening new vistas for research and innovation. It concluded with a call for global collaboration to elevate ART practices and tackle the growing infertility crisis, ensuring a hopeful future for aspiring parents worldwide.”

Themed “Tailoring, Transformation & Preservation in ART”, the conference also discussed the latest advancements in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and fertility care. The conference featured keynote addresses, orations and discussions addressing controversial topics and dilemmas in ART, making practices more evidence-based. It also explored psychotherapeutic aspects of infertility, providing holistic solutions for patients.

The conference was well attended by fertility practitioners, aspiring fertility clinicians and postgraduate students along with embryologists and andrologists.
