Focus on Emotional Well-Being and Minimally Invasive Surgery Marks a Meaningful Awareness Event

The event was hosted by a distinguished panel of senior clinicians – Dr. Bharat Prajapati, Consultant – Laparoscopic & Robotic GI HPB Onco Surgeon, Dr.Jagdish Kothari, Director- HCG Aastha Cancer center& Chief GI Onco Surgeon, Dr.Devendra Parikh, Consultant- GI Surgical Oncology and Dr.ChiragDesai(consultant- GI onco surgeon), HCG Aastha Cancer Centre– who collectively reinforced the importance of awareness, timely diagnosis, and advanced treatment options in improving cancer outcomes.
The evening’s highlight was the launch of cancer warrior Mallika Mukherjee’s empowering non-fiction self-help book, “कैंसरसेमेरासामना,” a moving account that captures her brave journey through cancer and her determination to emerge stronger. Her story struck an emotional chord with attendees, serving as a reminder of the resilience that lies within every survivor.
The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of Chief Guest Dr.Prashant Bhimani, Senior Consultant Psychologist and Columnist, whosaid“Emotional resilience plays a crucial role in the cancer journey. When patients and their families are guided with psychological support, they are better equipped to understand their emotions, manage stress, and face treatment with strength. Compassion and mental clarity significantly improve their overall healing experience.”.
Also Dr. Bharat Prajapati, Consultant – Laparoscopic & Robotic GI HPB OncoSurgeon, HCG Aastha Cancer Centre conducted an engaging awareness session focusing on early detection and advancements in modern cancer surgery.
